Yeargin Kowalski was a Meyers citizen, businessman and banker.
During the Solarian League's control over the system, he dealt with the transstellar companies like Brindle Star, Ltd., but focused more on smaller deals and provided capital to local entrepreneurs.
When the League was driven out of Meyers by the Royal Manticoran Navy and Prime Minister Thomas Montview began constructing a new, genuine government, he appointed Kowalski as his finance minister. This was a highly popular choice among the local small businessmen. Because of his dealings with the Solarian transstellars, Kowalski had a very good idea of where to start exhuming their books and reveal the details of their actual operations. (SI4)
