Treason

Treason was a human term describing the crime of acts of disloyalty to one's sovereign or nation. A person who committed treason was known as a traitor.

In many star nations of the Post Diaspora era, treason was punishable by death. The Star Kingdom of Manticore knew an even more severe form of the crime called high treason. (HH4)

• Barbara Bancroft was seen as a traitor on Masada, while being revered as a heroine on Grayson. (HH2)
• Captain Lord Pavel Young stood accused of high treason in 1905 PD, but was found not guilty for political reasons. (HH4)
• Steadholder Mueller was impeached and executed for treason on Grayson in 1915 PD. (HH9)
