Known Presidents[]
Many new plots, may be for separate "Presidency" section.
- both presidents had diffrent legal status - later one questionable (under condition, that interstellar law preserved some pre diaspora rules - it is illegal to establish new polity on occupated territory without peace treaty; recognition by Alliance members don't help in such matter).
- even if there was no official capitulation of San Martin in 1880 PD, neighbours (SKM) recognized Havenite souvereignity in the Trevor's Star system (conclusion based on indirect mentions - wormhole terminus worked at least, San Martino government in exile not mentioned) (the People's Republic very likely had some legal explanation for annexation as well), so it can be said from 1880 PD technically there was no office of President of San Martin (its powers were transferred to Havenite government).
- if remained after joining the SKM - office of the President became local government power only.

I changed the year of the presidency to conform to the fact that HH & Co arrived in Trever's Star in early December 1914 and you need time for a campain, then a trantion period then the innoguration.
As to the POSM he more than likely would become the equivelant of a Planetary Grand Duke or an outright Grand Duke, much like Theodore Harper Grand Duke of Manticore.--John964 21:33, September 19, 2010 (UTC)
- There was no aristocracy in San Martin Republic (infodump), so San Martin prominents appointed to the House of Lords became one vote members (with no cadets) - just barons and earls probably. --dotz 21:55, September 19, 2010 (UTC)
