Exact nature[]

According to map it was quasi wormhole junction between Erewhon and Manticore.--dotz 20:44, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

From the wording in WS1 it's described that the official "Phoenix Junction" is the two-termini junction that links the cluster to Erewhon. The Phoenix Terminus of the Manticore Wormhole Junction in the Hennesy System is described, but then it says the "Phoenix Junction" resides in the Terra Haute System, 25 light-years away. It's not clear from the wording if they're counting Manticore as the other terminus, or if there's a third, un-named terminus. Jabrwock 21:33, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
A thing for longer thinking.--dotz 20:01, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Quote: the Phoenix "Junction" — which boasted only two termini and linked the Cluster to Erewhon — lay in the Terra Haute System--dotz 20:42, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Possible Solarian trace: [1] (on the other hand this is a Verge area also)--dotz 20:48, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
However - if Phoenix Junction is a real junction - nexus to nexus connection is necessary. Anyway Weber sometime gives some information, that is later corrected or changed (eg. Gregor in HH6 and HH10 or question of Erewhonese membership in the Solarian League).--dotz 20:48, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
I think DW's phrasing the Phoenix "Junction" indicates that this is not a junction at all: the two "termini" are the Manticore junction and the Erewhon junction, and the so-called Phoenix "Junction" is nothing but two termini of two different junctions which are coincidentally located in neighboring systems. Phoenix is a "junction" in the traffic sense of the word, but not in the astrophysical one. -- SaganamiFan 03:30, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Right.--dotz 06:05, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Sovereignty over "junction"[]

On the one hand both termini were controlled by their owners (Manticore and Erewhon). On the other hand government of Phoenix denied warships transits during the war. It could concern Phoenix space however (mention - Potawhatomie as civilian unit registered on Alizon). It seems John Ringo wrote that part. -- dotz 11:23, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

I think the Phoenix space thing is likely. The matter of exact control over termini and their surrounding space has come up several times, like with Gregor or Lynx. -- SaganamiFan 15:03, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
