Number of tubes? Edit

SI2 mentions a Nike-class could fire 60 per salvo, but the specs only list 50 tubes. Source? Jabrwock 14:04, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

One pattern of missile pods or inconsistency. Check Baen's Bar?--dotz 19:44, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Nike's not a pod-layer. I'll check Baen. But I'm guessing retcon or bad original source. Jabrwock 20:57, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
SI2 appears to not know anything about the Nike class Broadsides. On the bottom of page... (chuckles) 911, Mike is yanking her ear off and thinking, "At one launch every eighteen seconds her shipboard launchers could fire forty three missiles each in that timeframe..." Hang on, never mind, DW's grammar is going for a shit during infodumps; I gotta quit reading those runs. Shadizar666 (Ruck Rules) 17:46, October 23, 2014 (UTC)

In A Short Victorious War whilst under going trials Nike's acceleration figures are quoted as:

"Eighty percent power, Ma'am," Lieutenant Commander Oselli announced. "Three-point-niner-four-one-four KPS squared."
"Maximum military power, Captain." The astrogator looked up with an enormous smile. "Five-one-five-point-five gravities, Ma'am!"

These figures did not agree with the figures quoted in this wiki page. I have altered the page accordingly. -- 14:49 23 March 2011 (UTC)

I reverted it, you got the wrong ship. The Nike you're currently reading about in HH3 is HMS Nike (BC-413), a Reliant-class vessel. The class discussed in this article was not mentioned prior to HH11.
