Possible Scenarios for Maya Crisis[]

  1. Mesan Alignment controlled warships attack Torch in Second Battle of Torch, the Maya Sector Detachment responds to reinforce the overwhelmed Royal Torch Navy and destroys the attackers, but Mesa engineers "evidence" that the Mayans knowingly destroyed Solarian warships and the Solarian League Navy dispatches a task force of wallers to deal with the "upstart neobarbs". Beowulf learns of the upcoming attack and clandestinely warns Manticore. Manticore, in turn, warns the Mayans, the Junction allowing them to pass the word before the SLN task force can reach Maya. With their own wallers not yet complete in Erewhonese shipyards, Maya requests assistance from Manticore, but with their missile production lines still out of service Manticore declines. Instead, Haven sends a relief force to Maya at the request of their treay partners, the Erewhonese. Accompanying the Havenites are the Erewhonese and a detachment from the Royal Torch Navy. The SLN task force arrives and demands the surrender of the renegade Mayans, but Governor Barregos refuses. The SLN attacks, but the Allied relief force engages with SD(P)s and MDMs. The SLN task force is decimated. In the aftermath, Barregos announces the establishment of a new multi-system Mayan state, a regionally treaty alliance with Torch and Erewhon, and a broader alliance with Manticore and Haven (and possibly the Andermani). -- DarkScribe 02:47, October 2, 2010 (UTC)
It is no reason to attack Torch by the SLN. If Mesans conrolls any other Solly admiral, they direct that person against Manticore (technically Torch is in alliance with the League). Fortunatelly for Maya - Mayan independence crisis occured in the same time as domestic war caused by the Mesan Alignment. Of course shotgun prepared in the first act have to shot, so Rozsak should kick another Byng-Crandall type from SLN. Two battles possible on fact - against the Frontier Fleet (BC) and against the Battle Fleet (or even the united fleet commanded by competent frontier admirals and supported with modern missile pods). --dotz 19:15, October 2, 2010 (UTC)
The point was to present possible scenarios for the Crisis. -- DarkScribe 23:14, October 2, 2010 (UTC)
Another possibility is Rozsak has his ships of the wall and the SLN knows Rozsak's wallers are as modern as Manticoran units, so SLN retreats. --dotz 09:30, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

Crisis in history[]

DarkScribe - thx for your care. I would like to suggest to split this article to History of Maya and more synthetic Maya Crisis. --dotz 10:51, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

I concur. This is very good, but it needs ref tags and most of it belongs into the Maya article. -- SaganamiFan 11:08, October 3, 2010 (UTC)
