Proxmire was a Havenite citizen and an officer of the People's Navy.
Holding the rank of Lieutenant Commander, he was in command of a courier boat assigned to the prison planet Hades. He and his crew were killed when the vessel was destroyed by Honor Harrington's forces during the attack on Styx. (HH8)
