Orient (Latin for "the East") was a term to describe Western Asia, a certain region on Earth with distinct culture and cuisine.

Oriental martial arts were the basis of Coup de vitesse, which was developed in 1103 PD on the planet Nouveau Dijon.

The cuisine of Grayson was compared to that of of the Orient, which the cuisine of New Toscana of Manticore also had similarities with. (HH2)

Many of the original settlers of Beowulf were of Oriental descent. (HH3)
