Michael Parmley[1] was a Solarian entrepreneur and the original creator of Parmley Station.
He and his wife, Elfride Butre, were successful freight brokers, and amassed a small fortune, which Parmley eventually turned into a much larger one playing the Centauri stock exchange. However, they lost almost all their money trying to launch a freight company that could compete with the established competition in the Core trade.
Parmley then went on to build Parmley Station, an amusement park in the orbit of the planet Ameta. This venture failed as well, finally ruining his family completely. He died in the middle of the 19th Century PD, leaving behind his wife and her clan on the now defunct station. (CS2)
