Marks was a Havenite citizen and an enlisted soldier of the People's Marines.
In 1903 PD, he was assigned to the battlecruiser PNS Saladin, assigned to the Masadan Navy under the name Thunder of God. After Condition Bounty Four-One was declared by Captain Alfredo Yu, indicating an imminent Masadan mutiny, Marks went with Major Joseph Bryan and secured the boat bay. He and other Havenite survivors left on one of the vessel's pinnaces. (HH2)
