Markéta Ilkova was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy.
Physical characteristics[]
Ilkova was slightly shorter than Jan Kotouč. She was attractive, with red hair and blue-green eyes.
She was among the minority of humans who did not respond to regeneration therapy. (HH14)
Biography[]
In 1922 PD, Ilkova held the rank of Commander and was assigned to Rear Admiral Jan Kotouč's staff as operations officer for Task Group 110.2. She fought in the Battle of Hypatia, and refused to abandon Kotouč when he was injured and the ship was about to be destroyed. Instead, she dragged him to a life pod and they both survived HMS Phantom's destruction. They were later picked up by the Hypatian search and rescue vessel Asteria, and returned to Manticore aboard a Hypatian transport escorted by the destroyer HMS Arngrim.
Once at Bassingford Medical Center, Ilkova and Kotouč began to become aware of their mutual romantic feelings. (HH14)
