Maitland Naysmith was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy.
Holding the rank of Lieutenant Commander, he was in command of HMS Janissary and fought in the Battle of Monica. He was killed when his ship was destroyed. (SI1)
