Kuy was a planet located in the neighborhood of the Maya Sector[1] with a Mesan outpost.

As of 1919 PD, it was the site of a large mining operation, run by one of Mesa's major combines, using Manpower Incorporated slaves as the primary work force. There were employed at least two thousand slaves.
The mining operation comprised its control center as well as the guard unit's barracks next to it. The slaves were kept in their own compounds and in the mines. (CS1)

While in the service of the Solarian League Marine Corps, Lieutenant Thandi Palane passed through the station and spent two days on planet. Sometime later in 1919 PD, Palane, shortly before assuming the rank of General and position of senior uniformed officer of the armed forces of the Kingdom of Torch, theorized a possible operation to attack the outpost and liberate its work force.
