Family[]

The son of Dr. Jennifer Chou and the older twin brother of Allison Chou Harrington, he was Honor Harrington's maternal uncle. (HH6)

The third of his parents' four children, he was actually born five years earlier than his twin sister, who was only carried to term after their oldest brother was out of the house and the Chous' could qualify for more offspring. (HH13)

Biography[]

In the mid-19th Century PD, he served as a Captain in the Biological Survey Corps. (HHA6.3: BATB)

A member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, he was an old time powder weapon "gun nut" who taught his niece much about the handling of obsolete hand weapons such as the Colt M1911. He was also Beowulf Planetary Pistol Champion in 1871 PD. (HH6, HH7)

He also liked antique motorboats, and gave Honor a printed copy of David and the Phoenix as a gift when she was a child. (HH10)

He was also a senior member of the Anti-Slavery League. (HHA5.3: LD) By 1922 PD, he had become its Vice Chairman, as well as Third Director at Large of the Planetary Board of Directors of Beowulf. (HH13)

Due to traffic delays redirecting them to an industrial annex, he (and his niece's husband Lord White Haven) were able to survive the destruction of Beowulf Alpha in the Beowulf Strike. After the Strike, he was appointed as Beowulf's new Director of Defense.[1] (HH14)
