Hyper-dogs and dirt-grubbers

Members of Post Diaspora era space navies inofficially seperated people into hyper-dogs and dirt-grubbers.

A "hyper-dog" was anyone who had been in a hyper-capable starship that has crossed from hyperspace through the alpha wall back into n-space, the equivalent of crossing the planetary equator in ocean-going navies back on Earth. All other people, who had never crossed the hyperwall, were refered to as "dirt-grubbers". (HHA4:TSotS)
