Hipper was a Sphinxian treecat of the Bright Water Clan, who migrated to Grayson with Nimitz and others.
Physical appearance[]
He was cream and gray colored and had green eyes. His weight was 10.3 kilos around 1912 PD, making him one of the largest treecats Allison Chou Harrington had ever encountered. (HH8)
Biography[]
Hipper[1] was born on Sphinx in the Manticore System around 1862 PD.[2] He lived with the Bright Water Clan until Nimitz and his mate Samantha proposed their plan of migrating to Grayson in order to assure the survival of their species if something happened to Sphinx during the war with the Republic of Haven. Hipper was among the group which accompanied Nimitz, Samantha, and their kittens to Harrington Steading in 1911 PD.
In 1912 PD, he bonded with Rachel Mayhew, the oldest daughter of Protector Benjamin IX, when her family visited Harrington House.[3] (HH8)
After the bonding, Hipper permanently moved to the Protector's Palace to live with Rachel and her family. All of them began to learn sign language in order to be able to communicate with him. (HH9)
To Protector Benjamin's annoyance, Hipper strongly supported Rachel in her intention to join the Grayson Space Navy after her sixteenth birthday in 1918 PD. (HH10)
