High Ridge government

The High Ridge government was the Manticoran administration of 1915 PD to 1920 PD, led by Prime Minister Michael Janvier, Baron High Ridge.

It came to power after the death of Allen Summervale, Duke of Cromarty, and the subsequent end of the Cromarty government in 1915 PD. (HH9) It was infamous for its lack of courage in the struggle with the Republic of Haven, its dishonorable treatment of the Star Kingdom's allies (particulary Erewhon), and its bad naval deployment and shipbuilding policies. At the outbreak of the Second Havenite-Manticoran War, Lord High Ridge resigned and his administration was succeeded by the Grantville government under Prime Minister William Alexander. (HH10)
