The Grayson Army was the primary ground combat branch of the Protecorate of Grayson's armed forces.

Its soldiers' and officers' uniforms were brown and green. They were distinguished from those of the Grayson Space Marine Corps by the absence of crossed starships on the collar. (HH5)
[edit] Steading Guard armsmen
All armsmen in a Steading's Guard, exept the Steadholder's personal guard of fifty men, were under the authority of the Protector through membership in the Army. presumably to allow the Protector to call them up for defense of the Protectorate. (HH5)

The constitution created by Benjamin the Great established a planetary Army and Grayson Space Navy under the Protector's own personal command. (HH5, HH9)
