HMS Defiant was a Valiant-class light cruiser of the Royal Manticoran Navy.
Service Record[]
After his return to active duty, Captain Aivars Terekhov was given command of the ship and took her to an escort mission that brought the convoy to the Hyacinth System, where it was attacked by raiders of the People's Navy. In the following Battle of Hyacinth, all Manticoran escorts and all but two freighters were lost.
Even thought the Defiant was destroyed, some of her crewmembers, including Captain Terekhov, survived and were taken to Haven as prisoners-or-war. (SI1)
