Ellis was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy.
Biography
Holding the rank of Captain, he was in command of the battlecruiser HMS Royalist. As part of Task Force 34, his ship was engaged by a three-ship IAN light cruiser division in the Walther System. Captain Ellis deployed long-range recon drones, and one of them got close enough to receive a clear visual of modified Andermani missile pods crafted on the IAN vessels' hulls.
After the incident, Ellis sent the imagery back to Admiral Honor Harrington together with his own analysis. (HH10)
