ENS (formerly PNS and later GSNS) Sabine was a Frigate-class light cruiser built and originally operated by the naval forces of the Office of State Security before her capture by the "Elysian Space Navy".

Service Record[]

In October 1913 PD, PNS Sabine[1] was ordered by Major General Prestwick Thornegrave to join a task force assembled to secure and fortify the recently-reconquered Seabring System against either a Allied counterstrike or an uprising of its own population.

Along with the rest of the task force, Sabine entered orbit of the planet Hades for a scheduled stop to embark "rehabilitated" prisoners and supplies bound for Seabring. Shortly after, the task force was compelled to surrender upon threat of destruction by Admiral Honor Harrington, who had previously led a prisoner uprising which had taken control of both Hades' ground facilities and planetary defenses.

Sabine was then incorporated to the so-called "Elysian Space Navy", and Alto Verdan Captain Cynthia Gonsalves was appointed as her commanding officer. (HH8)

Unlike the rest of the Elysian Space Navy's warships, Sabine did not participate in the Battle of Cerberus; barely a few days after Thornegrave's surrender, the light cruiser was ordered to escort five Longstop-class transports captured by the ESN and filled with liberated prisoners towards Trevor's Star, which was the closest Allied base to the Cerberus System.

Despite departing well before the rest of the Elysian Space Navy, Sabine and her charges arrived at Trevor's Star sometime after Admiral Harrington and the other ships of the ESN, both due to her damages and the slow speed of the transports she escorted. After her arrival, ENS Sabine was incorporated into the brand-new "Protector's Own Squadron" of the Grayson Space Navy together with the other ships of the ESN. (HH9)
