The Constitution of the Republic of Haven was the supreme law of the Republic of Haven.

It was largely drafted by Michèle Péricard, one of the founders and the first President of the Republic. (HH12)

The ratification of the DuQuesne Plan and the rise of the People's Republic rendered many of the rights guaranteed by the Constitution moot, and they were only reinstated when Admiral Thomas Theisman and the Republican Navy staged a coup against the Committee of Public Safety in 1915 PD and restored the original Republic. (HH10)

The Constitution contained the following provisions:

  • The Senate was required to confirm or reject all treaties
  • The Senate had to approve the members of the Cabinet, although the President had full discretion as to nominating and firing them
  • Presidential terms were limited to five T-years
  • No President could serve more than three terms consecutively. However, they could seek re-election after a term out of office
