The Commanding Officer's Course was an academic course which officers of the Royal Manticoran Navy needed to complete in order to hold command positions. It was held at the Royal Manticoran Naval Academy on Saganami Island.
In 1890 PD, Honor Harrington entered the course. She later finished successfully and was given a command. (HH1)
