It was built in a hollow square around a garden, with dining tables scattered among local flowering shrubs around a small fountain which formed the garden's centerpiece.
It menue was a fusion of Old Earth's French, Italian, and Chinese cuisine. Some dishes were:
- Lemon grass gnocchi with shrimp and a crisp green salad with seared tuna and ginger dressing
- Chow mein with prawns and Italian sausage in Alfredo sauce, garnished with ripe olives
- Carpaccio de Boeuf
- Profiteroles au Chocolat with coconut ice cream
Commodore Mieczyslaw Teschendorff frequented the restaurant, and took Honor Harrington there during her visit to Onyx. After dinner, she made contact with one of the waiters, who turned out to be a member of the Audubon Ballroom. (HHA5.3: LD)
