Blakely was a leader of the Volsung Mercenaries.
In the mid-16th Century PD, he was on command of the battlecruiser Tyr, and took part in Admiral Cutler Gensonne's invasion of the Manticore Binary System. He was killed along with his crew when the Tyr was destroyed in close combat by the Manticoran light cruiser HMS Casey. (HHA6.2: ACTA)
