The Biological Survey Corps, or BSC, was a Beowulf government organisation that officially conducted civilian survey missions, but was in fact a covert military force created to fight genetic slavery and the slaver planet Mesa.

History Edit

In the first half of the 19th Century PD[1], a BSC team including Lieutenant Jacques Benton-Ramirez y Chou conducted a mission against a slave depot on the planet Haswell during which several members of the Solarian Gendarmerie were killed. In retaliation, agents of Manpower Incorporated on Beowulf abducted Chou's twin sister, Allison and tried to force information from him in return for her life. She was freed by her future husband, Alfred Harrington, after which the BSC and the Audubon Ballroom proceeded to kill every single Mesan involved in the operation, including two targets all the way back on Mesa. In 1921 PD, a BSC assault team led by Hugh Arai, who was himself a former genetic slave, raided Parmley Station and killed the slavers present. The BSC than seized the station by force and made a contract with the resident Butre Clan to turn it into a secret fortress for their anti-slavery effort.

A team of the BSC, under the command of Hugh Arai, was detached to serve as security detail for Queen Berry of Torch. (CS2)

The Prescott-Chatwell law outlawed use of the Corps on Beowulf. (HHA6.3: BATB)
