MaleArpad Grigovakis was a Manticoran citizen and an officer candidate of the Royal Manticoran Navy.
Biography[]
His family was quite wealthy even by Manticoran standards and could be traced back to shortly after the Manticoran Plague. He was quite aware of this and willing to let it color his interactions with his military peers and inferiors.
After graduating from the Royal Manticoran Naval Academy, he took his midshipman cruise aboard HMS Gauntlet. During the trip, he was overbearing, treating Midshipman Abigail Hearns as well as the ship's enlisted crewmen as underlings. This continued until he was severely chastised by Captain Michael Oversteegen (with whom his uncle Connall once served), who pointedly noted the length of Ms Hearns' lineage, her family's wealth and status, and his own policy against such attitudes on the part of any of his officers or officer candidates.
