Allerton was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy.
He held the rank of Captain in 1878 PD, he had a lot of correspondence with Captain Bachfisch of HMS War Maiden concerning the career future of Chief Petty Officer Heisman. Bachfisch finessed him into letting Heisman serve aboard the War Maiden. (HHA3.1: MMH)
