Abbot was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy.

Holding the rank of Lieutenant Commander, he served as the Assistant Tactical Officer aboard the heavy cruiser HMS Gauntlet. He was among those killed in the Battle of Tiberian. (HHA4.6: TSotS)
